We only collect data necessary to deliver your event photos:
- Selfies (for facial recognition matching)
- Uploaded event photos (from photographers)
- Processing metrics (scan count, processing time)
We do not collect:
- IP addresses
- Device information
- WhatsApp message content
- Personal identifiers (unless you send them)
2. Use of Facial Recognition
- We use a self-hosted, fine-tuned open-source model.
- It runs locally on our own servers.
- We do not retain or use your image or data after photo delivery is complete.
- Facial data is not used for any AI training, marketing, or shared externally.
3. Data Storage & Deletion
- Selfies and matched photos are deleted immediately after successful delivery.
- Photographers can delete uploaded images and events at any time.

4. Security
- All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Our servers and databases use RBAC and RLS.
- Access to any image or data is restricted and logged.
5. Consent and Legal Basis
By uploading your selfie in our WhatsApp chat, you provide explicit consent for us to use facial recognition to deliver your photos.
We recommend event organizers/hosts:
- Post signage or explicitly state that: "Photo delivery powered by facial recognition. By scanning the QR code, you agree to the use of AI to deliver your photos. Your selfie and any matched images will be deleted immediately after delivery. See our Privacy Policy at identipix.com."
- Mention that users are consenting when they upload their photo via WhatsApp
6. Your Rights
You may:
- Request access to your data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time (though that means you can't use the service)

We welcome users globally. Identipix complies with PIPEDA (Canada) and applies equivalent protections for users worldwide.
